Swingout Design Fans enable routine fan cleaning and maintenance operations to be performed without removing the fan from the system.
By providing you with quick and easy access to all internal parts, including motor, shaft, wheel, and bearings, maintenance is Quick action, fast release clamp-lock latches. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure maximum flowpath sealing and efficiency.
Full 180° swingout provides plenty of room for all maintenance and service tasks.

Application of Tubeaxial Fans
Tubeaxial Fans are designed for
use in low to medium pressure
ducted applications. They are
generally used for removal of
contaminated air or hot air found in
industrial applications; but can be
also used to supply air through duct
work for cooling or pressurizing of
the interior spaces. Tubeaxial Fans
are very versatile and compact fans
for moving large volumes of air in
duct systems having relatively low
pressure losses.
Swingout design fans enable routine cleaning and maintenance· operations to be performed without removing the fan from the system. This is accomplished by hinging the casing and allowing the fan internals to "swingout" with the hinged section while the casing remained attached to the ductwork. By providing
quick and easy access to all internal pares, including the motor, shaft, wheel, and bearings, maintenance
is greatly simplified and costly downtime is minimized.
FULL ACCESS DESIGN
Quick access to the fan interior is accomplished by a hinged outer section. This section opens 180° to provide
plenty of room and freedom for most types of maintenance or service tasks. This feature will save many hours of maintenance costs as the fan need not be removed from the system to keep it clean and operating efficiently.
Design Options for Construction:
Mild steel housing with aluminum propeller.
Hot Dip Galvanized Construction.
AMCA 'B' and 'C' Construction, Mild steel housing with an aluminum prop with an aluminum striker plate.
All Aluminum Construction (AMCA 'A') -- Aluminum housing with standard aluminum prop. Housing flanges are welded solid.
Stainless Steel Air Stream, 304 Stainless Steel housing with standard aluminum prop. Housing flanges are welded solid. Hardware is 304 Stainless Steel.
Belt Guard -- Stainless, or coated steel OSHA belt guard with 1/2" expanded metal safety guard enclosing motor sheave and belts. Not needed when motor cover is ordered.
Hinged Access Door -- Allows limited inspection and cleaning of fan interior.
Flanged Inlet, Drilled with EPDM Gaskets.
Flanged Discharge, Drilled with EPDM Gasket.
Companion Flanges -- Angle iron ring with matching punched holes used to align duct work with
fan inlet and outlet flanges. Available in standard sizes only.
Inlet Vane Control Damper -- For volume reduction with corresponding BHP savings - Maximum velocity
3,000 FPM, Maximum pressure at block-off 7" SP, Maximum temperature 250 degrees F. Manual
lever operator included.
